Discount Electronics is installing 50 free WiFi hotspots around Austin. They will be located in locally owned eateries, coffee shops and bars. Our very first location went live last night at San Francisco Bakery and Cafe located on West Anderson Lane in the Alamo Draft House shopping center. John has been serving up great food for years. After years of captivity the Discount Electronics mouse is free again. At the suggestion of Bobby Michael Rains we moved him from inside the Anderson Lane store to the top of the pole sign some 35 feet in the air.
Last night 13 of the girls from Discount Electronics partook of Austin’s wildest party of the year, Carnival Brasileiro. I think we will make it an annual affair. Thanks to Longhorn Limos for the use of the longest Hummer I have ever seen.
At the suggestion of Michael Rains, Mighty Mouse will be returning to the great outdoors. Five years ago our beloved mascot was severely damaged in a hail storm. Since his restoration he has been held captive inside the Anderson Lane store suspended from the ceiling. But thanks to Michael, Mighty Mouse will be atop our new pole sign within weeks.
After years of working in just about every position imaginable at Discount Electronics Alissa (aka Raggedy Ann) is off to San Fransisco to chase her dreams. I have no doubt she will be successful at whatever she does.
We sent her off from Fado Thursday and closed the place down. Stay tunned for photos of that.

Our oldest store at 1011 W. Anderson Lane got a face lift. Rene and Gary of Pro Masonry pulled off another on-time project for us.
